Prescription Drugs

- Seniors’ Pharmacare Program offers coverage for individuals 65 and up, not covered by private insurance. Annual premium and co-payment are required.

Dental Care

- No coverage unless hospitalization is medically required.

Vision Care

- Children under 10 years and individuals over 65 receive coverage for one optometrist visit every 2 years.
- There is no coverage available for any other age group

Hospital Care

- Coverage is available for basic ward accommodations.

Health Specialists

- Coverage is available for physiotherapy only if services are performed in a hospital.
- No coverage is available for other services.

Homecare and Nursing

- The Chronic home care program offers some coverage, cost dependent upon the individual's income.
100% coverage is available for nursing care and medical supplies used during home care visits.

Ambulatory Services

- Coverage available for hospital to hospital transfer or ambulance response (treat and release).

Hearing Aids

- No coverage is available.

Medical Equipment and Supplies

- There is limited coverage for prosthetics.
- Some coverage for mastectomy prostheses.
