for preventive and restorative services.
- Children also receive limited coverage for medically necessary
surgical procedures when performed in a hospital.

Vision Care

- Children under 10 years and individuals over 65
receive coverage for one optometrist visit every 2 years.
- There is no coverage available for any other age group

Hospital Care
|
- Coverage is available for basic ward accommodations.

Health Specialists
|
- Coverage is available for physiotherapy only if services are
performed in a hospital.
- No coverage is available for other services.

Homecare and Nursing
|
- For chronic home care the individual must pay a portion of
home support services, personal care, and home oxygen fees. The
cost is dependent upon the individual's income.
- 100% coverage is available for nursing care and medical
supplies used during home care visits.

Ambulatory Services
|
- Individual pays $105 for medically necessary land transfer,
and $100 – $600 for non-medically essential land transfer/use.

Hearing Aids
|
- No coverage is available.

Medical Equipment and Supplies
|
- 100% coverage is only available for colostomy supplies
- For oxygen, coverage is based on medical criteria and the fee
charged is based upon the individual's ability to pay for services.
- There is limited coverage for prosthetics.
- No coverage is available for durable medical equipment or orthotics.
