100% coverage.

Dental Care
|
- In rural areas, children 6 to 12 years receive coverage
for fluoride treatments.
- Outside Winnipeg, children 5 to 14 years receive coverage
for basic dental services.
- Certain dental procedures are insured when hospitalization is
required.

Vision Care
|
- Individuals age 19 to 64 years do not receive any coverage.
- Individuals under 19 years receive coverage for one routine
eye examination every 2 years.

Hospital Care
|
- There is full coverage available for basic ward accommodations.
- Patients receive full coverage for laboratory, x-ray and diagnostic
procedures.

Health Specialists
|
- A small percentage of chiropractor visits is covered for a
maximum of 12 visits per calendar year.
- Physiotherapy and speech therapy sessions are covered in full
if they are performed in a hospital.
- There is no other coverage available for other services.

Homecare and Nursing
|
- All individuals are given full coverage for basic nursing care.
- Depending on the individual’s financial situation, partial
coverage is available for other services.

Ambulatory Services
|
- No coverage.
|
Hearing Aids
|
- Individuals under 18 years may receive 80% coverage
for hearing aid after paying a $75 deductible. This allows for one
claim every 4 years.
- Individuals over 18 do not receive any coverage.

Medical Equipment and Supplies
|
- Individuals receive partial coverage for prosthetics (artificial
limbs, trusses, crutches, certain limb and spinal braces, and artificial
eyes, post-mastectomy breast forms and brassieres.)
- Orthopedic shoes for individuals under 18, registered with
Manitoba Health Services Commission, receive 50% coverage
for 2 pairs of orthopedic shoes a year.
